Notes

  • If you started the renewal process at another consulate or your passport has a stamp from the General Passport Office, you must inform us.
  • You can renew the passport up to 6 months before its expiration date.
  • The passport will be issued with the data as it appears on your national ID.
  • If you are requesting a passport for the first time, the birth certificate must indicate that you were declared by a father or mother with Dominican nationality; the name must be as it is on the ID. You must bring the valid ID, 2024 onwards, of the Dominican parent.
  • For naturalized citizens, a Naturalization Certification from 2021 onwards is also required. If you do not have it, you can request it through the Ministry of Interior and Police website: Click here
  • If you do not have your birth certificate, you can obtain it at the Central Electoral Board, located at our facilities (see related page at the end).
  • If you want us to return your passport by mail, we inform you that we are not responsible for that process. Once sent, you must follow up with the postal service tracking number. We recommend picking it up personally.
