Notarial Acts

General Requirements

  • Required Declaration Form. In the case of a financial procedure, the financial institution must provide the document template.
  • Identity and Electoral Card of the principal(s).
  • Copy of ID with updated address or proof of residence (bills or official letters).
  • Identity and Electoral Card of the attorney-in-fact.
  • Copy of the Dominican witness ID, who cannot be a relative.

Additional Requirements by Type of Act

Family Reunification and Visa

  • Birth certificate and passport of minors.
  • Identity and Electoral Card of the other parent, or passport if foreign.

Bank Procedures

  • Name of the financial institution where the transaction will be carried out.
  • Account/card/financial certificate/loan number involved in the operation.
  • If it is a cooperative, membership number.
  • Template provided by the financial institution, if available.

Divorce Procedures

  • Marriage certificate.
  • In the case of mutual agreement, it is recommended that the power of attorney be signed by both parties; if only one spouse signs, stipulations cannot be included. Two witnesses’ signatures must also be provided.
  • If the power of attorney includes stipulations, signatures from both parties are mandatory.

Real Estate Acts and Title Withdrawals

  • Copy of the property title.
  • If financing is required, name of the institution where the mortgage will be placed.
  • If the principal is married, the spouse must also sign.

Vehicles and Firearms

  • Details of the item to be transferred (copy of vehicle registration, copy of firearm permit).

  • Bring the Money Order on the day you come to sign at the consulate.
